Flytec 4020XL Professional   (no longer in production)

NOTE: Please read this before purchasing a variometer.

User Customizable Audio

The 4020XL features unprecedented control over the vario audio allowing the pilot to configure the 4020XL to maximize their climbing performance according to the type of conditions they are flying in.

Using FlyChart 4.32 (included) the user can define the following audio variables:

  • Switch on threshold
  • Switch off threshold (independent of the switch on threshold)
  • Beep length
  • Vario audio excitement range
  • Vario audio excitement rate
  • Barograph Recording

To record a barograph trace of your flight simply switch on the REC switch before or at any time during your flight. The 4020XL will record the pilots specified values at the specified interval until the REC switch is turned of or until the instrument is turned off.

There is an internal marker system that allows any number of recall points to be set during a flight. This is useful to help remember where in the flight you were when you were attacked by that eagle, or where you were, when you got low, and thermaled back up to cloud base.

These markers will appear on the direct printout of the recorded flight or will be displayed in barograph screen when using Flychart.

Included with 4020 XL Professional:

  • Manual
  • Flychart Professional for Windows
  • PC interface cable
  • Attachment clip & elastic Velcro
  • Protective carry bag
  • 2 AA batteries
  • 2 year warranty
  • Optional HG & PG airspeed sensor is available for this unit.
